We hear and read the comments, - "we are doing landholders a service", "hunters would never sue a landholder", "the risk is so small", and even more crazy, "those deer belong to us, the people". The truth is, if landholders feel exposed legally, they will simply deny access and the choppers or professional pest controllers will come in. Hunting, true hunting, in its pure form, must be allowed to survive. How do we achieve this in Queensland?

Queenslands Heritage Herd of red deer grow trophy racks so similar to what can still be found in their native ranges of Scotland and England. Some only ever get to 10 points or less but they are still just as tough a challenge to hunt as any red stag in the world. Ash and Clark set out on the trail of an old, cagey "Forever Five".

It's not every day you get an opportunity to use a $23,000 AUD thermal scope to shoot some feral pigs for pest control. But here we are with the brand new InfiRay Rico RS75, 1280 HD resolution scope.

Big thanks to my mate for the invite out seeking assistance on this contract for pest control.

If you are interested in a thermal device in Australia, have a chat with Ben from Hunt the Night. He generally has the best prices anyway in Oz. If you use the below affiliate link it helps me a bunch. At no cost at all to you

What a HUNT ! ! I have hunted deer for over 20 years, never have I experienced something like this with an absolute bonanza of free-range animals. We hunted on foot, stalking in the beautiful mountains of NSW. Enjoy the footage, some of it is amazing ! !

I've been very fortunate to gain access in an area like this with a good mate who wishes to remain unnamed (huge thanks to him). This trip we have paired up for some EPIC buck hunting action chasing these dynamic animals in the rut.

This video is only part #1 from a week long hunt. As I work through footage I will be posting the episodes up. Ultimately I wish to bolt this all together in one long hunting film.

Solo filming this type of content is a huge challenge, if you would like to additionally support me here is the link to my Patreon. You will gain early access to the video's and all are posted free of advertising. Plus this is the path if you wish for more personal engagement and to chat about gear directly.

Experiencing the fallow buck rut is something every hunter should try to do. They are amped up, croaking for dominance, stinky and keen for a fight. It's often extremely fast paced hunting of what is normally an elusive, shy animal.

The deer taken are free-range wild animals on private property. This is an experience I try to do each year as the hunting is amazing, and something unique to cherish. It's much different to the regular bulk pest control shooting I normally do for work. Understand that this is a recreational activity, and the deer are a game resource on this property.

For those interested my rifle is a fully customised Tikka T3X, chambered in 30-06. The stock is carbon fibre made by Southfort Labs in NZ (now discontinued). Blued fluted sporter barrel, and spiral fluted bolt. Scope is a Swarovski Z5 2.4-12x50mm BT, and I'm shooting handloads with 178gr Hornady ELD-X projectiles at 2830fps.

This is my user thoughts and impressions of the Arrtech Prima XP pump action rifle chambered in 308 Winchester. I'll run through what I think along with some hunting footage as I bust some pigs in long grass.

While not my regular type of hunting content, this was an absolute blast bowfishing for invasive carp !!! Was I a good bowfisher person, absolutely not !!! But I had fun in the process and this was a great day out. Fortunately my mate is rather accurate and cleaned up for both of us......

Technically I'm just bow fishing carp, but hey, goldfish sounds better

Mixed bag for this pest control hunting trip on the ATV. I shot feral pigs / hogs at 30 meters with the 30-06, a long range goat hunting / shooting kill shot at 500 meters with the 6.5PRC. Plus a heap of foxes culled with the HIK Micro TQ50 at night with the 6BR - There's a bit of everything in this video !!!

All the animals shot in the video are introduced, invasive feral species in Australia. These animals are being culled for pest control purposes. Whilst this is labelled a hunting video a lot of this footage is purely pest control shooting. There is no "fair chase" other than shooting straight and true resulting in the most ethical kills possible. I'm performing this role with professional equipment for property owners who grant me access and require assistance.

This video is all the common and repetitive questions I see in the comments on most of my YouTube videos. Be that hunting property access or location details, thermal scope recommendations, what do I eat from the shooting trips etc. Hopefully there's a few small pointers in here for everyone and it might give you an insight to the sheer volume of questions everytime I upload a YouTube video.

As of Monday morning ALL of my state - NSW in Australia will be in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please everyone stay safe and do the right thing, we can all get through these hard times together.
