In this short film, we follow Travis Platen on hunting adventures all over the Fitzroy region in Queensland. Travis works on a cattle station and has been hunting pigs for a long time. He used to run one out holding dogs, that was until he hunted with an old fella that ran a pack of bailers. Seeing how well they performed, Travis decided to start running bailers himself and over the next few years had great success. Currently, his main dog is a Cattle dog cross collie dingo called Wally. He is fast, agile and hard enough to put the breaks on even the most stubborn boars. So let's join Travis on some heart-pounding hunts, that feature some close calls and tons of thumper boars.

This episode we jump forward a few years and take a look at some of the latest footage Jake and the team have captured. He's a little older, a little wiser and with some new cameras and gear the quality has gotten better as well. He's still hunting a variety of species in a variety of ways, from shooting deer to dogging pigs. First up, the team hit the hills finding and catching some good mountain hogs, it ain't no easy flat country that's for sure. It's thick, it's tough and the dogs have to work hard. While out hunting pigs they can get lucky and come across some trophy deer as well. So without further ado let's get in on the action.

This episode the team head out hunting a variety of different species, some with the rifle, some with the bow and sometimes just the camera. You will get to see deer, pigs, goats, rabbits and foxes. So let's not dilly dally, let's get in on the action.

This episode, it's all about fishing, the team head out catching Murray cod and yellow belly from the river, using spinnerbaits and hard-bodied lures. So if you don't mind a bit of fishing kick back and enjoy.

Coming Up on episode two of Bristle Up's Huntin and Fishing Adventures, Daniel from ultimate hunting Australia shows us how he trains his dogs to track, find and point deer for him down in victoria, his dogs allow him to find many more deer than he normally would on any given hunt. Scott Meadows is back hitting the dams in dry western new south wales taking some good boars down with his bow, then we join Tim and Joey as they show us what land based shark fishing is all about.
