Finishing off this trapping run before our holiday and managed to get another two foxes and an eagle to finish it off. It was awesome to see the Wedge Tailed Eagle up that close and be able to release it again. they are such a big and majestic bird hope you enjoy it.

Feral cat numbers are up since the mouse plague a few months back.
I’m after the dogs again. In this video you see first hand the excitement and patience you need to hunt these elusive animals. Plus a bonus… I’m using my Ruger Gunsite Scout Rifle in 308 Winchester. Also my Ruger American Ranch Rifle in 223 with my iAiming Game Changer 612 Thermal Scope.
While in Quarantine thankfully I can still go out and hunt without leaving the property. managed to bag this Boar and another Feral Cat.
Off to our new property to do some hazard reduction burning and feral pest control. Not sure what we would find and turned out very successful!
Our second trip to finish burning and do a bit of pest control. Always love getting cats but dogs are my favourite things to hunt. Wish I could have got more of them but very happy with the result.
Just out for a quick spotlight tonight. Still finding cats. Another one on the deck. 28 cats total for the year now.
I've been after this fox now for a long time. Since before I got the thermal scope even and finally managed to get him after getting 7 of his pups. Now just the mother to go if she is still in the area. We have had almost 300mm of rain in November and everything is so saturated that every second day almost we have had a small shower and it has made the creek flood up and cut us off from town. And now the River has come up and is almost flooding the town. So it was good to still be able to get around on the quad in a bit of a window of not raining and bag a couple of ferals.
The recent rain has been much welcomed but as always with it comes the mozzies!! Had to have a quick night tonight as they are so bad at the moment! But Pleased too get another two young foxes. They were probably from the same litter as the last 5 I got. I still haven't gotten a glimpse of the parents yet. Either they are real cunning or have left the young ones to fend for themselves and moved on somewhere else or someone else has got them already.
Been after these dogs for a while now. It's very satisfying to be able to out outsmart, stalk and shoot wild dogs. They are a big problem around here especialy at this time of the year when there are a lot of baby calves on the ground and the bitches are teaching their pups to kill. So over all a good result to help keep the numbers down a bit. Still more dogs to get yet but hopefully for another video.

The grass is growing fast now and it's getting harder to find cats etc to shoot but thankfully this little fella was silly enough to look at the torch to give me a glimpse of his eyes.
I haven't been able to sight that dog/dogs that have been travelling through the area so I'm trying a few traps to see if I can get them that way. In this video I am showing you how I go about setting dog traps and what has worked for me in the past. Hope you can get something out of it and enjoy the video. And I hope I can get a dog soon. Just have to be patient.
This is the process I go through to scalp wild dogs, foxes and feral cats. They all have a bounty here where I live so it is a bonus for taking these destructive pest out the wild. A lot of people won't bother for the little about we get but I say every one adds up and it's definitely worth the little bit of time and effort it takes. Hope this can help someone out.
Just checking for more wild dog sign in the area. Looks promising but not sure when they are moving through. Might have to set up a Trail Camera up for a few days to get a bit more information. A bit of old footage from a few years ago thrown in for you to enjoy near the end so stay tuned.
Well this is the longest it's ever taken me to trap a dog but all the hard work and persistence paid off in the end. It is always a satisfying feeling to be able to trap such a cunning animal as a wild dog.

Went out after foxes and cats again for the first two nights or the year before I had to go back home to work. Good result! Wish I could have gotten a few more cats though.
I think this might be the last dog that has been hanging around here. I have left one trap in the ground set but no more sign of dogs on the track yet.
