5 Views · 2 years ago

[a]www.boaringaustralia.com.au[/a]
We had a great morning hunting but the night hunt was a different story. This were off to a bad start straight up. We get some boars along the way before running into a larger boar who end up causing us grief on the chase. Tune in to see how our night goes and the following day with a few boars being caught at the end

I actually don't think i missed a pig at all over these 100 reloads. However, one must take into account finishing off shots and general hunt scenario's like snap shooting, thick scrub running targets etc.

The team and I headed across to the next property after a very successful trapline. We had limited time left until we needed to be back down south, so we would need to evaluate each patch of sign we found and set accordingly. We would need different sets for each situation. Think hard, set well and watch the results.

I have had people unsubscribe and send flavoursome comments saying I should keep my opinions to myself. Maybe I should. Maybe I shouldn't care if our hunting culture in Australia fades away over the next few decades but the fact is I do care, so here goes another opinion on where we are heading.
It is up to us all to do far more to preserve what we have for the future, otherwise the sound of choppers and gunfire (or 1080 baiting stations) will arrive at your favourite hunting spot sooner or later.

50 invasive feral pigs, wild boars or hogs - Whatever flavor you wish to call them. They all fall in this precision kill shots compilation video I've put together. As usual I'm running a bolt action rifle chambered in either 6mm BR or 308 Winchester (un-suppressed) fitted with my Pulsar Thermion 2 XP50 digital recording device thingy. No spray and pray in this video, aim (excuse the pun) is to make every shot count and be an ethical, clean kill. Not always that simple with running targets but us poor old Aussies get a bit of bolt action practice and I think we shoot pretty well - What do you think ??

All the animals shot in the video are introduced, invasive feral species in Australia. These animals are being culled for pest control purposes. Whilst this is labelled a hunting video a lot of this footage is purely pest control shooting. There is no "fair chase" other than shooting straight and true resulting in the most ethical kills possible. I'm performing this role with professional equipment for property owners who grant me access and require assistance.

The crew is making one last run for the tour. Montana is next!

We’ve made it to the final episode of the season! Spencer Pruit from Groove Life and Scarlet Fernandez are joining Zach and Mary as they make a day trip to Big Sky Country in search of some white tipped Merriam’s. You couldn’t ask for a better day in the woods!

What a HUNT ! ! I have hunted deer for over 20 years, never have I experienced something like this with an absolute bonanza of free-range animals. We hunted on foot, stalking in the beautiful mountains of NSW. Enjoy the footage, some of it is amazing ! !

I've been very fortunate to gain access in an area like this with a good mate who wishes to remain unnamed (huge thanks to him). This trip we have paired up for some EPIC buck hunting action chasing these dynamic animals in the rut.

This video is only part #1 from a week long hunt. As I work through footage I will be posting the episodes up. Ultimately I wish to bolt this all together in one long hunting film.

Solo filming this type of content is a huge challenge, if you would like to additionally support me here is the link to my Patreon. You will gain early access to the video's and all are posted free of advertising. Plus this is the path if you wish for more personal engagement and to chat about gear directly.

Experiencing the fallow buck rut is something every hunter should try to do. They are amped up, croaking for dominance, stinky and keen for a fight. It's often extremely fast paced hunting of what is normally an elusive, shy animal.

The deer taken are free-range wild animals on private property. This is an experience I try to do each year as the hunting is amazing, and something unique to cherish. It's much different to the regular bulk pest control shooting I normally do for work. Understand that this is a recreational activity, and the deer are a game resource on this property.

For those interested my rifle is a fully customised Tikka T3X, chambered in 30-06. The stock is carbon fibre made by Southfort Labs in NZ (now discontinued). Blued fluted sporter barrel, and spiral fluted bolt. Scope is a Swarovski Z5 2.4-12x50mm BT, and I'm shooting handloads with 178gr Hornady ELD-X projectiles at 2830fps.

I must be getting as bad as a super keen Bass fisherman, "Just one more cast", or "Just one more trap". The weather was threatening but we had the dogs on the trapline, so maybe the next trap would be the best one.
