A regular weekly venture hunting predators AKA wilds dogs and foxes with Thermal. I don't often get caught unawares but I did on this hunt. The wild dogs are becoming an enormous issue in my local area. Hunting them with thermal optics at night time is probably the most efficient ground shooting method. It takes a lot of patience and just being plan stubborn some nights.

The new Alpha 200i has landed and in this video we are going to take a look at all the key features and how they work.
In Summary, the Alpha 200i is the latest garmin handheld tracking device, it works with the standard TT15s and T5 collars as well as the TT15 minis and T5 Minis, not to mention the old Alpha 100, GarminDrive track and Garmin watches. You can even pair the 200 with your phone or tablet using the Garmin Explore app so you can use your phone as a handset. The Alpha 200 uses the same batteries as the Alpha 100 and fits all the same mounts, map cards and even the same antennas. Birdseye imagery is completely free on this handset which is awesome and you can download the maps on the 200 over Wifi, so no need to have access to a computer. You can do it all on the handset itself. The 200 also has a much bigger screen and a brand new user interface that is easy to use, and lastly it supports inreach which allows two-way global text messaging and emergency SOS button among other things, but this feature does require a subscription which is quite expensive.
So stay tuned as we unbox the bad boy and show you all the features and how they work.

While not my regular type of hunting content, this was an absolute blast bowfishing for invasive carp !!! Was I a good bowfisher person, absolutely not !!! But I had fun in the process and this was a great day out. Fortunately my mate is rather accurate and cleaned up for both of us......

Technically I'm just bow fishing carp, but hey, goldfish sounds better

What a HUNT ! ! I have hunted deer for over 20 years, never have I experienced events like this with an absolute bonanza of free-range animals. We hunted on foot, stalking in the beautiful mountains of NSW. Enjoy the footage, some of it is amazing!!!

This video is the combination of my three individual videos, all placed together as originally intended from a week long hunt.

I've been very fortunate to gain access in an area like this with a good mate who wishes to remain unnamed (huge thanks to him). This trip we have paired up for some EPIC buck hunting action chasing these dynamic animals in the rut.

Solo filming this type of content is a huge challenge, if you would like to additionally support me here is the link to my Patreon. You will gain early access to the video's and all are posted free of advertising. Plus this is the path if you wish for more personal engagement and to chat about gear directly.

Experiencing the fallow buck rut is something every hunter should try to do. They are amped up, croaking for dominance, stinky and keen for a fight. It's often extremely fast paced hunting of what is normally an elusive, shy animal.

The deer taken are free-range wild animals on private property. This is an experience I try to do each year as the hunting is amazing, and something unique to cherish. It's much different to the regular bulk pest control shooting I normally do for work. Understand that this is a recreational activity, and the deer are a game resource on this property.

For those interested my rifle is a fully customised Tikka T3X, chambered in 30-06. The stock is carbon fibre made by Southfort Labs in NZ (now discontinued). Blued fluted sporter barrel, and spiral fluted bolt. Scope is a Swarovski Z5 2.4-12x50mm BT, and I'm shooting handloads with 178gr Hornady ELD-X projectiles at 2830fps.

This is my user impressions and review on the Pulsar Merger LRF XL50 Thermal Binocular. I've had this device from Pulsar in real hunting usage conditions, multiple times a week for a few months so far. It's an amazing thermal scanner and well worth considering if you're in the market for a high end device. This isn't a "how to" video with boring unboxing and basic menu function explanations. This is my handle on the Merger as a shooter and user.

If you would like a baseline I would encourage you to watch my review of the Merger LRF XP50 as there's a lot of crossover information I tried not to double up on.

• Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 Thermal Binocu...

Big thanks Pulsar in Europe and Extravision in Australia for sending me the new Merger to play with. Without support from companies who are proactive in the hunting industry like this, these video's are mostly not possible with the speed tech is evolving.

We were short on time, trapping in country with too much grass and water, plus it was an area we have trapped many times before so we were facing a few very trap-shy dogs. We simply had to try every trick in the book if we were to be successful.

I headed away for a Pig Hunting weekend with Stu and Xande to catch some pigs, and train some young bailers. The weekend went well until a boar got the upper hand and I ended up on a speedy collision course with the hospital.....
