A few people have messaged me saying I should show a whole hunt, I can't as the video may go on for hours but heres from the moment the dogs pick up a good boars scent to the moment he is dispatched. I had chased this pig a couple times before but dogs had never stopped him long enough for me to get there. with no ears he would be a impossible task for catch dogs so bailer/ bay dogs is the only way...

A couple of hunts I had been saving from the sugarcane and the hills in North Queensland

We were short on time, trapping in country with too much grass and water, plus it was an area we have trapped many times before so we were facing a few very trap-shy dogs. We simply had to try every trick in the book if we were to be successful.

My First time hunting a new block and the dogs stumble across 2 boars at the same time on the edge of the rainforest. Can the Bailers pull them up, or can I stop them with my 3030.

You may have heard me say it before but it's worth saying again. We face a crucial time in our hunting history. If we are not prepared to stand to our digs and support true recreational hunting, then just accept what you get. Changes to firearm ownership in WA and Qld should give you a warning if you have the mindset to listen. If you want everything for free and without effort, then brace yourself for what is to come.

With one dog caught, it seemed that the valley had gone quiet, simply too quiet. Ever trapline can have a period where you have to do the hard yards. Read the sign, improve your set patterns and enjoy your time in the bush, it will all come together.
