Plenty of people are calling for State Forest access and most are wanting very minimal restrictions or none at all. "Go where you want, when you want, shoot what you want, take it or leave it lie where it falls, with no thought of anyone else who may be in the area at the same time", similar to Victoria. I guess this includes the aerial culling and baiting as well? How do you reckon our reds will survive in the semi open Qld cattle country?. Is that what you really want?

In Queensland, Australia, all wild deer are introduced. They also live in the majority on the private country of landholders growing crops and raising stock. New releases over recent decades had added to the issue by placing other deer species close to peri-urban areas. The question of ownership was never settled but Government has overridden all by declaring them all "Pest" species and owned by nobody. Quite a mess we have to deal with!!
