Welcome back to episode 6 where we head out for one last morning on the last day of our trip. We get onto some cranky one out boars striaght up in the morning with the hounds then head to a creek where Nat walks in solo with the 44 to see if she can find some more wild boars. But things never go to plan but sometimes things happen for a reason and see as they stuble on natures grain feeder that the wild boars are going crazy over. Watch to see which plant it is......

Hey guys this episode we head out as a family walking the creeks during the day to try find wild boars asleep in the creeks. Dan and Nat get some boars each and make some good running shots. Hope you enjoy....
A few people have messaged me saying I should show a whole hunt, I can't as the video may go on for hours but heres from the moment the dogs pick up a good boars scent to the moment he is dispatched. I had chased this pig a couple times before but dogs had never stopped him long enough for me to get there. with no ears he would be a impossible task for catch dogs so bailer/ bay dogs is the only way...

With an awesome chital stag in the bag for Gareth, it was time to hunt for another big old-timer for his dad Shane. We wanted something that also had that "Wow" factor.
On most traplines, you will have dogs that roam widely and others which remain in a defined area. At one dam on this huge property, there were tracks of a few "resident" dogs who had survived local trapping and night vision attempts in the past. So the challenge was accepted.
There is nothing wrong with having pure lines of cattle but equally, there is nothing wrong with mixed bloodline stock as well. I see all colours as being equal. Maybe there are some in this country that could learn a lesson from this if they really do want equality.
Great bailing dogs and great hunters makes for the best wild pig hunting.
Matt and Ian hunt with Clark and his team of Border Collie dogs to take some big central Queensland wild feral pigs.
We live in a rapidly changing world. If cultural pursuits like hunting and fishing are to remain as part of our lives, we must all be more responsible. If introduced species like wild deer are to be regarded any better than other “pests”, then they need very careful management. To do this we need to know exactly where we as Queenslanders stand in regard to legislation.
This thermal comparison was fun. We lined up three (3) different thermal scanners and two (2) thermal rifle scopes. The thermal devices lined up - Night Tech HD-25 Lite (19mm lens), Night Tech XD-35 (25mm lens), IRAY XEYE E3Max (35mm lens), Thermion XQ50 (42mm lens) and a PARD SA45 (45mm lens). All the thermals have a 384x288 17um sensor. Cost values range from roughly $1600 through to $6000 per unit. It's a common question on what is the best value thermal or what is the difference between a XX and XX device. Running a comparison between 5 different lens sizes was quite interesting to see and it's a good gauge of performance. Larger the lens, the more detection range (AKA power). But also the larger lens increases the base magnification. I wouldn't call this a "thermal review", more just out thoughts as general punters out using this kit weekly. There's little bias in the products used, it's just what we own and use.
Huge thanks to Adam and Eric for bringing a few of them thermals we played with. This kind of thing doesn't happen without great mates helping out too.

Welcome back to ep 7 where we start this episode off on a new trip. We have a rough start to the trip with Dan having an accident on the very first night. We have a few days of recovery and then we start it off with a morning run where we go hunting wild boar with the dogs and drone. We get some good boars one out and then chuck the drone up to scout for wild boar but get some great shots in the process. Hope you enjoy it and look forward to your feedback on the series.
